Population growth and changing ways of living and working will require more care in the future. Both current and future needs must be met with a careful use of land and a sensitive and sensible densification of the existing buildings. The design proposes not to build over the large open spaces on the west and south construction sites. Instead, the existing building will be extended again.

The school complex will be extended in line with the strategy of building on with the day centre. The extension follows the "camouflage" strategy and blends unpretentiously into the existing building. A simple geometry, a plain white plastered façade and the use of existing window types allow the extension to become part of the overall complex.

The existing building on Rosenstrasse, which currently houses the day-care centre, will be demolished - the new double kindergarten will be built here. The "camouflage" strategy is being given a twist here. The kindergarten blends in typologically with its surroundings of detached houses and small buildings. The volumetric interplay of the various building volumes and their gabled roofs is a nod to the neighbourhood. At the same time, the playful overall composition and unusual materialisation suggest the special use in the neighbourhood.
