Due to the unusual shape of the plot and the building code the volume of the house had to have a wedge-shaped structure. The two floors do appear very different. A solid base with small openings containing the sleeping rooms forms the groundfloor. On top of it rests a glass volume containing an open-plan living area providing views on the adjacent mountains. Single boxes containing a shower, kitchen and staircase, subtly divide the huge space into a work, kitchen and living area.
