0102 Loorenhalde

An unusually shaped plot, a sloping terrain, privat-law restrictions, access and height of the building were the challenging aspects at the start of this project. An economical parking solution was only possible along Loorenhalde Street, right at the level of the middle floor. This point of departure determined the cross-section of the building and became the major driver for the overall volumetric concept. The three apartments are accessed via their own entrances and on the inside, the three different volumes are interlaced. The building block "floating" above the carports is cladded with cedar wood and clearly differs from the staggered and plastered base underneath.
